Classic D&D Computer Games

GOG, Good Old Games, packages up classic games (scanning manuals, stripping out DRM, etc) and sells them for very reasonable prices, $3-10.  I've bought several games from them and have been nothing but impressed.

Until Feb 27th they are having buy one get one free and including Temple of Elemental Evil as free bonus.

    Oh wow, I remember an entire summer vacation wasted on Baldur's Gate II. Well, I mean, not really wasted, but... you know.

    Torment was pretty awesome, and so BG1 (although Sarevok was such an easy win).

    GOG is great - even though I own most of these games on CD/DVD I bought them from GOG for the ease of play on my laptop.

    All they need to do now is release all the Gold Box games optimized for modern computers.

    Yeah. I kind of agree. After Balder's gate et al, I tried to play pool of radiance. I could handle the graphics, but the really poor interface killed it for me. It was always "in the way" and made playing unfun. I'm spoiled by good modern clicky pointy interfaces.

    Are you aware that the entire Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment series is available as a compilation from Atari for $20?
