The other day I noticed my notebook had tiny square grid on front and drew this. (note: to coworkers meeting wasn't boring, honest)

That's what I'm talking about, I doodle things like that all the time. For the most part, once doodled, it has a tendency to become something more (at least in my experience)!!! Keep doodling and keep the faith...!!!

The 6-columns-in-2-rows leading to a sinister idol with brazier-in-front is an archetype. I think I dream about it. Probably due to the cover of the 1st ed. PHB, maybe?
